AWOF is a non-profit established in 2023 in Mwanza, Tanzania.
Aidful Widows and Orphans Foundation (AWOF) was established in 2023 after identifying that some social, cultural, and economic challenges within our country are caused by the increase of orphans and widows living in poor conditions. Furthermore, the lack of strong social protection systems for these special groups leads to risks of abuse, social isolation, long-term dependency, and loss of life direction.
Although the organization was established in 2023, the implementation of its official activities started in 2024. Before starting its operations, AWOF members volunteered in various social activities through other organizations working in line with AWOF’s objectives. This step enabled them to gain experience, knowledge, and a deep understanding of the real needs of the community.
On 20/10/2025, AWOF was officially registered by the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children at the national level as a Non-Profit Organization with Registration Number: 00NGO/R/8685 under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act, No. 24 of 2002, as amended from time to time.

To practice various agricultural methods and improve environmental sanitation.
